Rocket Readers Recap: Sharing The Lost Puppy Adventure

I’m still reflecting on the wonderful experience I had at the Rocket Readers: Blast Off with a Book event a couple of weeks ago, hosted by Lowcountry Parent and Post and Courier in the heart of Charleston, South Carolina. It was such a rewarding day filled with engaging activities and an enthusiastic crowd of families who share a love for reading.

As one of the presenting authors, I had the joy of reading my latest book, The Lost Puppy Adventure, to a group of eager young readers. This book is particularly special to me because it combines themes of friendship, family bonds, and celebrating differences—values that are close to my heart. The story follows the adventures of Billie, Lulu, and Pablo as they help their neighbor Miss Mary find her lost puppy, Winnie. It’s a heartwarming tale that not only entertains but also teaches children about kindness and the importance of helping others.

Seeing the children’s reactions during the reading was incredibly fulfilling. Their excitement and curiosity reminded me of the impact that stories can have on young minds, sparking their imagination and teaching valuable life lessons in a fun and relatable way.

The event also gave me the opportunity to connect with other talented local authors, which was a true honor. Charleston is home to a vibrant literary community, and being recognized alongside these amazing writers was something I’m truly grateful for. I’m excited to share that The Lost Puppy Adventure is now available on Amazon! If you’re looking for a book that your kids will love and that also encourages positive values, I hope you’ll consider adding it to your collection!

Thank you to everyone who supported the event and continues to follow my journey as an author. There’s much more to come, and I can’t wait to share the next adventures with you all!

With gratitude,

Danielle Jones
